Too amazing!
I was alerted to this photographer's work via Hurricane Vanessa's blog. Tim Flach is amazing! Anyone who knows me knows very well that I love animals, and really adore dogs and horses, so these photographs really got me in a flutter!
Monday reading
Well here we are at the start of another week. At least the sun is shining and it's not too cold! I also managed to get out of bed and make it to a 6am yoga class *pat pat pat*
Here's your stylish reading for the week, and it's all about my love for Stella McCartney. Enjoy!

Happy Mother's Day!
Yesterday was Mother's Day, and although I had a grumpy, fat day, I did think about my wonderful, amazing mum and how much I love her (which I guess is the reason for the day!). I'm very lucky since we're really close and she's a best friend as well as someone who'll bring me medicine in the middle of the night and leave fresh flowers in my bedroom when I've been out of town for a while. What would I do without her?!
In an effort to improve my mood and get over the Sunday Blues I've been catching up on some blog reading. How gorgeous is this pic?
Erin Wasson looks so pretty in a classic white tee and collection of necklaces. I love her laid-back look. (Image via Because I'm Addicted)

My favs from The Met Ball
M.I.A and Zoe Kravitz looking gorgeous in Alexander Wang
How hot is Diane Kruger in the clinging, figure hugging dress? Talk about a body!
I kind of love Jen's hair here - messy with those smoky eyes - SEXY
I have a girl crush on Jessica, and she just looks so darn pretty here. Love the nude colour on her skin tone
.
This photie is just so 'old Hollywood'. How glam?!
I love this, well, purely for her sublime legs. And the perfect sleek ponytail look which I can never master.
How cute?!
And of course Alexa made it into my favorite list. She's always super cute.
I have to say I'm on the fence with Chloe's choice. Love the colour, and she can pull just about anything off, but I feel like deducting points for the bra situation. But maybe she's about to start a whole new trend and I'll be eating my words in a few months time?!
When I first saw this shot I was not as overjoyed as I usually am when I see Carrie's (erm, I mean Sarah's) wardrobe choice. And then, again, I got on the fence. In some shots she looks a little washed out and I'm not sure that style does that much for her body, and then in other shots she looks glowy and pretty and her usual lovely self. Humph, decisions, decisions.
What do you think?

Grey with envy
Last Wednesday I went to the Jo'burg launch of 36 Boutiques. It was very swish, which was pretty much what I was expecting, and a very exciting concept. My highlight though was Nicky Boy's sublime pair of dirty grey boots. Shoes gods, I'd like some please.
Here are the boots in all their loveliness. (Nicky's assistant Khandiz has a super cute outfit on too - love the girly skirt and high-tops combo)

Weekend catch-up
I haven't posted for a while. Although last week was a three day week, it was a looong one, and I scrambled around trying to get things done and remember to breathe...sometimes much more difficult than it sounds!
The weekend was lovely with yoga, the boyfriend, a dinner with a good friend and too many carbs. And I feel just about ready to welcome in May. (Now just to get my adsl line fixed...)

Here are some inspirational outfits - I love these looks!!
I'm a little obsessed with skulls, so this gold skull necklace is soooo up my street!

The day after the long weekend...
Follow my blog with bloglovin
Yesterday was Freedom Day in South Africa, and so a public holiday. The boyfriend and I took Monday off and spent the weekend in Waterval Boven, in Mpumalanga. It turns out there's not that much to do there, besides rock climb, squeeze through water-logged caves and hike (and it was raining all weekend, so no hiking, thank you very much!)
So we ended up having a very lazy time, sleeping, reading, eating and drinking. And on Monday we drove off to the Kruger National Park and saw some wonderful game - white rhinos, elephants and a gorgeous male lion (we had some serious eye contact - he was about 1.5m away from my window! YIKES!)
So it's a three day week (and for some reason feels like I'm facing a full 5 day week!) It's cold cold cold in Jo'burg today (winter has started with a BANG!) and all I really want to do is climb into bed with some tea and a book. So on that theme here's a great article on the manly bed. I'm not one for florals and girly frills. I like high thread count Egyptian cotton in either plain white or something with a masculine tone.
Don't you just want to jump right in?

Happy blogging
Big thanks to the Cosmo team for the mention on their Fashion Bloggers page. Yay :) Check it (and all the other fabulous fashion blogs) out here.
Talking of great fashion blogs, this is one I recently found: Wearing It Today. Stylist Laura Fantacci posts pics of her outfits, trying out the trends and seeing what works and doesn't work when there are no make-up artists, pro photographers and studio lights involved. She's super cute, writes well and has a great accessible style. And you can rate her looks too!

Time wasting
I'm not actually working. I'm pretending to. I'm avoiding packing boxes. It's a pet hate (along with going to the post office to send them on their way). Four boxes of stock need to be packed and I'm checking out Twitter, catching up on my blog reading and thinking how much I'd like some tea and something sweet.
In the spirit of time wasting, how about these lovelies from one of my favorite brands Sass and Bide? When it come to this label, you buy something, wear it, and have no option but to be super cool. Done.

ho hum
I'm feeling sorry for myself today. My immune system has been a bit ropey this year, and today I feel crapstix with a sore throat and general achy-ness. And I cannot just lie in bed and drink tea - have to work like a demon on some freelance bits and pieces. I'm indulging myself in sour worms, which are heaven and hell all at the same time - deliciously mouth puckering but also abrasive enough to take your taste buds off. Ouch.
I know I've blogged about these before, but I'm getting more and more excited about my trip to London in May - I'm going to buy me some Swedish Hasbeens!

I'd like a Beautiful Bottom please
Yes, that's right. A beautiful bottom. It would definitely distract me from the fact my ribs are still sore from some yoga posture done wrong, and I'm beginning to feel twice my age. Not cool. I have also developed the terrible, terrible habit of switching my alarm off in the mornings and either going straight back to sleep, or listening to the infuriatingly persuasive Jen that convinces me I don't have to get up, for gym, yoga or anything else. When I do surface an hour later I'm mad, grumpy and all round pissed off that I didn't get up when I didn't actually need anymore sleep and I have a jam-packed day!
Sigh. Anyway, back to Beautiful Bottoms. How cute are these undies? One thing that is sorely missing from my wardrobe is matching sets are gorgeous underwear. (Boyfriend, this is a hint ;-)

What are you grateful for today?
In between all the AWB crap, cash flow nastiness and general deep sighing moments I've had the last few weeks I thought it was about time to pull myself up by my bra straps and list those things/people which need thanking. So, thanks
• Easter. It was great to indulge in rabbits and eggs and hot cross buns (and get a long weekend to enjoy it all)
• Wonderful parents, because well, you put up with me, even when I should technically be out of your hair...
• Boyfriend. You are a lovely specimen of manhood and have delicious legs. Yes, and bum too. It makes for very pleasant ogling
• Yoga for putting me in my place and teaching me (well trying to at any rate) some measure of patience and gentleness with myself. It's a work in practice
• Sushi and pizza because well you are sushi and pizza (the same goes for crisp cold chardonnay)
• Bentley the puppy because your edible wiggly self and fearless abandon to life is infectious and makes me cry-laugh
• Business. Because I have a pretty wonderful life and right now I'm able to type self gratifying stuff online for anyone to read, while browsing blogs and fashion sites all in the name of work. It's cool
